Last Saturday, we were lucky enough to get along to a blind tasting hosted by Adelaide's one and only Craft Beer King, Matt King. Out the back of the Wheaty Hotel, we were treated to 5x South Australian Pale Ale's and 5x South Australian IPA's. You can read up on the full rundown over at http://thecraftbeerking.com/2017/01/16/blind-tasting-analysed/
A few results were very suprising, the main one being that very few people scored more than about 8 points out of the possible 20.
The take away from this was:
a: Don't judge a book by it's cover
b: Smiling Samoyed make a great IPA
Seriously, the Smiling Samoyed was the standout IPA of the bunch, and it was up against a few very good beers.
Check Matt's site out, he's doing great things sharing news around the South Australian craft brewing community.
